Reading the Back Glass
The single biggest unlock for tennis players. The back wall is your friend — almost every deep ball should be played after the rebound, not before.
🎯 Key points
- ✓Let the ball pass you. Move to the side, not back.
- ✓Watch the ball over your inside shoulder until it hits the glass.
- ✓Move to where the rebound will be, not where it currently is.
- ✓Hit at waist height when possible — the easiest contact zone.
🏃 Practice drill
Have a partner feed deep lobs. Don't hit the ball until it has bounced AND hit the back wall. Aim 30 reps per side.
